Livescribe

Livescribe smartpens enable you to record and digitalise your written notes quickly and easily.

What does a smartpen do?

Livescribe Smartpens record handwritten notes and audio while you’re in class / working. They have an IR camera which takes constant snapshots of your work while you’re writing that you can then access on your computer or smart device. You can also share these notes via teams, zoom or most conferencing software in case other users need access to meeting minutes, group work or needs to catch up on work they’ve missed.

In order for your smart pen to work however you must use compatible Livescribe smart paper and the correct ink refills so please ensure that you take care to not mix brands as the replacement ink cartridges may not fit inside the pen. The special paper used contains thousands of microdots which process the text as it is being written, this enables you to have work read back to you by the pen by pushing your pen against a specific word. If you use standard papers then without the microdots there is no way to process your writing. If you have any queries regarding this then please feel free to contact one of the team who will be happy to advise you.
