Reflecting on 2023: edtech.direct End-of-Year Recap

As we approach the end of another remarkable year at edtech.direct, it's time to take a moment to reflect on the journey we've had, celebrate our successes, and express our gratitude for the support that has fuelled our growth. This year has been marked by exciting events, valuable collaborations with new vendors, and the addition of talented individuals to our team. Let's dive into the key highlights of 2023!

This year, edtech.direct participated in several noteworthy industry events, contributing to our knowledge, network, and overall growth. Highlights include:

Bett 2023 marked a significant milestone for us as we participated in the event for the first time. The show, held in March, provided an excellent platform for networking with existing suppliers and engaging in direct conversations with teachers. During the event, we proudly unveiled our latest product, 'fortcharge' our very own charging cart, and were delighted to receive positive feedback. Additionally, Kubo (a coding robot), Andrea's headsets and IPEVO's classroom visualisers received a warm and encouraging response from the audience.

Throughout the year, we participated in four ICT For Education shows in collaboration with two of our valued vendors, Gumdrop (specialising in device protection) and IPEVO (offering classroom visualisers and conference cameras). Engaging with teachers in person at these events provided an excellent opportunity to discuss firsthand how our products can positively impact and enrich their teaching and learning experiences.

We also attended the National Education Show in Cardiff, joining forces with Gumdrop and the TES SEND show in October, where we collaborated with our two newest vendors, Digit Music and Nuance Hearing. These shows strengthened our commitment to bringing new and exciting technology to the education community whilst showing support to our newest vendors.

In 2023, edtech.direct expanded its network of suppliers, forging valuable relationships with new vendors that have enhanced the quality and diversity of our offerings. Some key collaborations include:

Nuance Hearing Voice Selector Study: An innovative device tailored to assist individuals dealing with ADHD and other neuro-diverse conditions that impact concentration.

Digit Learning: An inclusive and user-friendly music system designed for schools, Digit Learning transforms music lessons into enjoyable, relevant experiences for young people. Its accessibility ensures that music education is accessible to all.

Lili For Life: A specially designed lamp that simplifies daily tasks for individuals with dyslexia. This product aims to enhance the quality of life for those facing dyslexic challenges by providing a practical solution.

Our team has expanded, by including skilled individuals with diverse expertise and perspectives. We welcomed Tamsin De La Haye to our telemarketing team and Hannah Baldwin as our Website Content Coordinator.

As we bid farewell to 2023, edtech.direct would like to thank our customers, partners, and team members who have been instrumental in our success. We look forward to building on these achievements in the coming year and continuing our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
